Official Minutes of The Lions Club of Frederick
May 23, 2000
The Lions Club of Frederick held it monthly Board meeting on May 23, 2000 at the Silo Factory. The meeting was called to order by Lion President Mel Castle at 12:00 Noon. The following individuals were present:

1. The minutes for the April 25, 2000 Board meeting were approved.
2. The Treasurer reported $3,056.37 in the Administrative Fund and $12,727.98 in the Activities Fund. The April 2000 report was approved.
3. Lion JoAnn Hevey has been working on finding a meeting place for the Club. The Board discussed meeting at The Red Horse for $11.00 per person. There will be no required head count. We will be meeting in the downstairs room. The Silo Factory has been sold and staying there is no longer an alternative because the building has been sold. We are unofficially committing to remain at The Red Horse until December.
4. The Board will meet again on the 20th of June. The location will be determined by Charter Night.
5. The numbers aren't in yet for the Gold Tournament fund-raiser. We anticipate having the final numbers by the next Board Meeting.
6. The Jefferson Charter Night is June 4, 2000. This is their first Charter Night.
7. Lion Dave Fogle has recommended that Danny Miller be given the Title of Honorary Member of the Lions Club of Frederick. Danny has been the coach of the Lions Little League team. The Board approved giving him this honorary title. When the little league team comes for their annual visit in August, we will honor Danny.
8. The Board decided to honor a request for sponsorship for an individual attending Lions Camp Merrick. The Club will pay $150.00 to help this individual.
On motion, the meeting was adjourned at 1:00 PM.
